Best Dressed Ted Workshops

Join Elaine to create a fabulous outfit for your favourite teddy or doll during this fun, creative workshop for 4 - 12 year olds. Inspired by the Zandra Rhodes Exhibition running in the Gallery, your teddy/doll/soft toy is sure to leave the Gallery looking super stylish!

Mini Me Workshops

During this alternative Valentines Day workshop for 18 - 25 year olds, Elaine will guide you on a journey that will see you create a 'mini me' textile character of yourself, inspired by all that makes you wonderful and unique! During the workshop you'll also be supported in creating a quirky wee story tag to compliment your creation...what's not to love?!
*Workshop will involve a combination of cutting, sewing and gluing - suitable for anyone willing to give it a go!

Open House Weekender
The Anatomy Rooms, Shoe Lane, Aberdeen
Elaine, along with a number of fellow residents @ All in Ideas - The Anatomy Rooms will be opening her studio on Saturday 15th from 12 noon - 4pm as part of The Look Again Festival. As well as demonstrating some of the processes she uses during her practice, she'll also have a variety of one off quirky characters for sale!
From 6pm the Project Room will be open to all for drinks and music - BYOB!

Christmas at The Anatomy Rooms
The Anatomy Rooms, Shoe Lane, Aberdeen
Elaine will be one of six residents opening her studio from 12 - 5pm during this free festive event within the Anatomy Rooms. Unique wares will be for sale from the residents' stall plus a number of local artists/designers/makers stalls and a range of delicious festive refreshments will be on offer throughout the day. At 6.30pm the residents' Exhibition Opening and Christmas party will begin - BYOB!

'Marvellous Monsters' Workshops
Arts Across Learning Festival, Aberdeen
Elaine and her stripy, long limbed assistant Yogi Bunny will be supporting children and their adults to experiment with a variety of recycled and found materials, creating 'Marvellous Monsters' of all shapes and sizes! The workshops will be running in different schools across Aberdeen as part of Aberdeen City Council's Arts Across Learning Festival, 2018.

Smile - A solo Exhibition of New Work

Working from drawings by local children of people and places that make them smile as inspiration, this unique exhibition of whimsical textile characters, quirky, sculptural forms and vibrant, colourful installations creates a playful space which is sure to make viewers of all ages SMILE!
