Elaine is very passionate about

the concept of crearting new life from materials that would otherwise end up in landfill. Frequently working from vintage, pre - loved and unwanted fabric, trims, beads, buttons, bits and bobs, she selects materials to transform..............creating textile forms and accessories that are truly unique and individual.

With the aim of reducing waste, much of the off cuts  produced by Elaine are included in materials on offer during collage workshops while the smaller scraps are used as filling in decorative soft sculptures.

Elaine is also currently working on the design of make your own project packs that will also  recycle some of her larger off cuts.

Often working with materials that hold sentimental meaning and value to customers, Elaine creates very special keepsake pieces that help keep memories alive through the sense of touch sight and smell.

Marking fabricworking from freehand sketching and marking onbto fabric, elaine prefers not to use patterns a a means of upholding individuality in the poieces she makes.

Working intuitively

Manipulating materials through a variety of techniques and processes including folding, crushing, twisting, ripping, winding, hand and machine stitching, each piece Elaine creates is gradually transformed into it's final unique form.
