"Children express their thoughts and ideas with

a beautiful sense of

honesty and innocence

that I find so refreshing

and incredibly inspiring."

Elaine Grant - aka MissE

is a textile artist, designer, maker and Textile Design graduate of Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen. Working from her enchanting studio, Elaine's love of colour, pattern and texture is reflected/apparent in her curious characters, playful accessories and tactile soft sculptures.

Working from her enchanting studio where Elaine's love of colour, pattern and texture is reflected her curious characters, playful accessories and tactile soft sculptures.

Elaine's practice is influenced by childhood, with a focus on the honest and untainted way that children view the world. Often reflecting on her own  memories of childhood and her experiences while bringing up her two children - Elaines work essentially celebrates the joy and delight that imagination and creativity can bring to all ages.

Integral to Elaine's practice is her passion to engage and support others in exploring their own creativity. Delivering creative projects and workshops that focus on enhancing creative development and learning, participants of all ages are encouraged to shape their own learning and embrace the process of creating through experimentation and exploration.
